Match No. 52 of the IPL 2024 will host a RCB vs GT clash on Saturday in Bengaluru.
It is time for a blockbuster match in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Gujarat Titans (GT) will face off against each other for the second time in four days. RCB slammed GT in the last game by nine wickets and a record-fastest chase.
Can they do it again? Or will GT find themselves crossing the line? Well, there are many questions for this match. But one thing is sure: there will be fireworks because the match will be played at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru, which is a batting paradise, and fans will be treated to fours and sixes.
RCB vs GT: Head-to-Head
The win in the last game was the second win for RCB against GT in the IPL. Meanwhile, GT also have won two out of four matches played between the two teams.
RCB vs GT: Top five player battles to watch out for
1. Shubman Gill vs Glenn Maxwell
Shubman Gill has missed getting big scored in the last few games for GT, which is one reason why they have struggled. But he needs to take more responsibility with the bat, and his good performances will be required in the coming game. However, he has looked a bit rusty against the spinners, and RCB used Glenn Maxwell against him. So they can do it again when he is batting in the powerplay.
2. Virat Kohli vs Rashid Khan
Virat had an incredible performance against GT last time, and he scored an unbeaten 70. He will again be looking to make an impact here and take his team to another win. Rashid Khan had a poor game, and he went for plenty. But he is skilled enough to bounce back from that situation. He has decent numbers against Virat, as he has dismissed him twice in the IPL and conceded runs at a strike rate of 129.
3. Will Jacks vs Sai Kishore
Will Jacks smashed a 41-ball ton against GT in the last match and will feel confident after that. But he needs to restart his innings here; the conditions will also be different. He attacked Noor Ahmad and Rashid Khan. But Sai Kishore can be an effective spinner as he bowls wicket-to-wicket, which makes it tough to score against him.
4. Sai Sudharsan vs Yash Dayal
Sai Sudharsan has been in excellent form this season and has scored the most runs for GT. Even in the last game, he was the top scorer for his team and made 84 not out. He will look to continue that form and carry on his good performances. He batted well against almost all the RCB bowlers, but Yash Dayal can be a good match-up against him. The left-arm pacer bowls slower ones and yorkers pretty well, which makes it hard to score against him.
5. Faf du Plessis vs Noor Ahmad
Faf du Plessis played a good cameo in the last match for RCB and gave them a quick start. He will be a big player in the upcoming game and has some good scores under his belt. Against quick bowlers, he is very effective, but spinners have troubled him at times. Noor Ahmad can be a pretty good bowler against the RCB captain. He has dismissed Du Plessis twice in just 9 balls in the IPL.
