“When you decide to give up…” Virat Kohli posts a cryptic message ahead of India comeback

Virat Kohli will be making his India comeback after seven long months.
The time to see Virat Kohli back in Indian colours is about to end as the Indian Cricket Team will be locking horns with Australian Cricket Team in the three-match ODI series. The series will begin on 19th October in Perth and will conclude on 25th October in Sydney.
The series will also mark the return of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma after a long gap of seven months. Having retired from tests and T20Is, the two last played for India in ICC Champions Trophy 2025, where both batters had a decent outing.
Since the last few days, there have also been lot of talks around the retirements of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. There have been reports which claimed that the dream of both the batters to play the ICC Cricket World Cup 2027 is under massive scrutiny as management isn’t looking at them.
The talks grew even larger when Rohit Sharma was removed as the Indian ODI captain by and was replaced by Shubman Gill with management saying that to was impossible to keep different captains for the different formats. Also, selectors hinted that both batters need to play domestic cricket to keep themselves in contention.
The Australia series will be extremely important for both and it will depict their future. Both looked in completely different shapes as they boarded the flight to Perth and they were also in a joyous mood as the atmosphere in the team looked great.

Amid all this Virat Kohli stole the limelight with his post on Twitter ahead of India’s comeback. He came up with a cryptic message, saying: “The only time you truly fail, is when you decide to give up.”
This possibly puts rest to all the retirement rumours and the spotlight no doubt will be on him as he takes the field in the Australia tour. He will be holding the key for India in the series. During ICC Champions Trophy 2025, he was the second-highest run-getter for India and would be eager to continue his form.
