Jordan Spieth missed the fourth cut in his season.

Jake Knapp leads the PGA Tour rookie season with 36 holes at The CJ Cup Byron Nelson 2024. Other top players include Troy Merritt and Matt Wallace. However, a high cutline of six-under-par was enforced in Texas, causing many players to head home. Ryder Cup players and PGA Tour winners are among the big names going home, while many others miss the cut.

Jordan Spieth missed the fourth cut in his season, a result of a wrist injury. His performance was ordinary, but the sudden drop can be attributed to his wrist injury. However, the consistent missed cut has not been well-received by the golf world. Kris Kim, making his PGA Tour debut as an amateur, passed the cutline, becoming the fifth player on the PGA Tour and the first since Kyle Suppa in 2015. It was ironic that Spieth missed the cut at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson 2024.
